Public Service Announcement

“ Reminder to the community that the flooding conditions could change very rapidly with little warning. It is very difficult to predict flood levels with Ice Jams and Ice movement. Stay off roads as much as possible never drive into standing water or rapidly moving water, it only takes 6 inches of moving water to lift a vehicle and sweep it away. Listen to NOAA weather radios or your local news channels. Check on elderly and neighbors. Be prepared to evacuate or be advised to stay put if you are on higher ground.”

An extra challenge:

Bring your own reusable set of dishes to the Community Meal to be entered in special raffle to win an Instant Pot!

In order to be eligible your “Dish Kit” must include everything you need to enjoy dinner without utilizing disposable flatware or utensils – plate, bowl, cup, spoon, fork, and a reusable bag to carry everything in are the basics you must bring to be entered in the Instant Pot raffle. None of the dishes you bring or the bag you carry them in may be single use paper or plastic!

You may also want to bring a reusable straw, a cloth napkin or towel, and reusable containers to take home leftovers, but these items are not required for the Instant Pot raffle.

Help us be more sustainable and use less single use paper and plastic table ware! Love the earth, bring your own dish kit.
